Kahlo Chrysler Jeep Dodge Offers Free Zac Brown Band CDs
As Part of Support to Military Families
Dealer Also Making a Financial Contribution to Indiana Military Families
(Noblesville IN:) Noblesville automotive dealer, Kahlo Chrysler Jeep Dodge, is taking a national promotional campaign between Dodge and The Zac Brown Band, and pushing it to a new level. The “Letters for Lyrics” program, a partnership between the Ram Truck brand and Zac Brown Band, aims to collect 1 million letters to send to U.S. troops deployed around the world. As further support to service people, Kahlo Chrysler Jeep Dodge is making a $100 donation to the Indiana Military Family Relief Fund for every new car sold between May 10 and May 31.
Locally, Kahlo Chrysler Jeep Dodge is collecting letters at its store at State Road 37 and Pleasant Street and giving each letter writer a “Breaking Southern Ground” CD. People can bring a letter of support written for a service person to the dealership and exchange it for the CD.
“As someone who has a deep passion for this country and the freedoms and opportunity it offers, I’m very pleased that Dodge has decided to do this. This program is a great way to say ‘thank you’ to our courageous men and women in uniform,” said Pete Kahlo, owner of the dealership.
Dodge announced the “Letters for Lyrics” program after Kahlo had already initiated its own military support effort. The local Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealer previously decided that it would make a $100 donation to the agency The Indiana Military Family Relief Fund for each new vehicle it sells leading up to Memorial Day.
The Indiana Military Relief Fund is a service of the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs. The military relief fund provides emergency grants to the families of Indiana military service people for needs such as food, housing, utilities, medical services, transportation and other essential family support expenses which have become difficult to afford.
For service people interested in purchasing a new vehicle, Kahlo Chrysler Jeep Dodge also shows its support to the troops by offering an additional $500 cash allowance to all qualified enlisted military personnel and veterans toward the purchase of new 2010 vehicles.
“Our service people and their families are some of the best people there are. Whatever we can do to show them our appreciation and support, we should do.” stated Mr. Kahlo.
The CD features three all-new songs from Zac Brown Band, and music from Sonia Leigh, Nic Cowan and Levi Lowrey. The compilation CD is not sold in stores and is exclusively available at Ram Truck dealerships.
Soldiers’ Angels, a nonprofit organization, will deliver the letters on behalf of Zac Brown Band and the Ram Truck brand. Soldiers’ Angels is a volunteer-led organization with over 225,000 members providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the U.S. Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, along with veterans and their families.
As part of the initiative, several short documentary-style videos are being posted on RamTrucks.com with highlights from the Zac Brown Band’s recent trip to the Persian Gulf to perform for the troops.
